Majed By Alexa Chung

You could say that I am into an Alexa Chung day but actually it is quite a coincidence that this post features the British model again. As a matter of fact, I was browsing Maje’s website as i got completely seduced by the new collection while swinging by the store yesterday, when I discovered this nice video presenting a few pieces of the new line in a nice and funny way. Alexa Chung styling the collection on 3 different girls… 

Wouldn’t we all wish to be Majed By Alexa?

Btw huge crush for the black and white stripped dress worn by the It-girl! Note the yellow background which is certainly not just a coincidence as it is predicted to be THE color of the Spring…

A festive air is already blowing on NET-A-PORTER.COM as the website is presenting its Exclusive Christmas Jumper Collection which is a result of a collaboration with designers who have come up with unique pieces for the website!

Here is a selection. Note that my favorite are the Maje and Tibi ones. Love how it is now fashionably acceptable to wear these kinds of sweaters we would have not imagined wearing a few seasons back! This is one of the reasons I love fashion soo much, unpredictable and consistently changing our views on aesthetics!!

Peep-toe day! Zara fuchsia skinny jeans and Maje snake-skin print beige flats from a few seasons ago. I took quite a while to adopt the peep-toe cut, not being quite sure of the aesthetics of having just a few toes appear in a rather squashed way, which is why I only own this pair which seduced me mostly by the material and pattern…

Alexa For Maje

The super stylish French brand offered itself no other than the Queen of Preppy Chic style, Alexa Chung, to be the face of the Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 collection.

This new collaboration couldn’t make me happier being a huge and unconditional fan of the British It-girl and I feel as if she gives a new dimension to the brand, by adding her own aura and personal style to it in a way.

Here are a few shots of the campaign. Through the lense of Glen Luchford, Alexa Chung is captured in a cinematographic atmosphere as transforming herself in a 60’s movie heroin!

My Maje Sale Wishlist!

Love that time of the year when the pieces you have been eyeing from the beginning of the season finally come on sale, giving you the occasion not only to give into the guilty pleasure of shopping but also doing a bargain. Isn’t it so satisfying when you can buy 2 lovely pieces for the price you would have paid for one?

I must say that brands where I enjoy the sales the most are Maje, Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and Ba&sh, so count on me to share with you my other sale wishlists too;-)
